Being a Public Relations specialist, I undertook a module that wanted us to create a communication plan out of a list of clients that we chose. MG Motors was the client I chose.
At the time of starting my second year at university, I was approached by a magazine setup by a third year student specialising in Journalism, to produce material in exchange for experience.
At the start of October during my second year, I attended the PRCA UK and CIPR Midlands joint at John Lewis that was centred around ethics within the Public Relations industry.
Utilising the career departments at university, I discovered a local brand based in Birmingham, 1st Man 1st Woman of which I began to undertake work experience with.

So as part of my course I’ve had to attend workshops that aren’t similar to the course I’m taking i.e. not PR. The decision did take a while because I couldn’t decide what area I wanted to expand my skills on. Eventually with pressure of time and tickets quickly selling out, I decided to go for media law.
